SPECIAL ALLOY STEEL
Alloy metal is carbon steel that is also alloyed with a variety of elements in total amounts between 1.0% and 50% by weight to improve its mechanical properties, durability, hardness, elongation, among other factors. Alloy metal is a steel to which small amounts of one or more elements other than carbon have been added, such as manganese, silicon, nickel, titanium, copper, chromium, aluminum, etc. This produces specific properties depending on the final need of the material where the special steel will be used and that carbon steel alone does not offer.
